Many of you will look at this post and say, what hack? Some of you will look in your inboxes and find a message from a member name chasex...I would advise you not to open that. The pictures contained inside range from pornographic to horrendous disembowelment photos.
This message, was part of a low-level hack that often occurs on proboard forums that allow guests to log in. I thought our low key little abode would be safe from such attention, but it would seem Power Trio's rise in the internet search engines will also have its downsides.
Luckily I have managed to fix everything before you guys hopped back on here, and if you did see chasex's posts than I sincerely apologize. But here's the low down of what's going on
The Hack:
The Problem: Around 5:30 am this morning (eastern), chasex hacked onto the forums and spammed it with tons of pornographic images. He also altered some of our censoring commands, causing our posts to come out with no spaces:

Doesn't sound to bad? Imagine everything on the website looking like that....yeah, not cool.
The Fix:
Though I was always deemed Headmaster of the forums (when I registered it), I had not revealed it as an actual position...until now anyways. So after figuring out how to make that an assignable position, I was able to reset our code and get the text fix. I have also now PROHIBITED ALL GUESTS FROM MAKING POSTS. I know some people like to randomly pop up and say things, but its too dangerous to the safety of the website. If something needs to be said, they will need to register...its not like it costs money or anything!
Also, I have unfortunately had to delete the threads that chasex drowned in pornographic images. I'm pretty sure I got them all, but because he was not a registered member I couldn't have the system auto delete his stuff because...well...he wasn't registered! So if you unfortunately run into his stuff, let one of the admins know (me, thetruth, inferno). If something you liked got deleted, of course you're free to restart it (some WILL HAVE to be restarted anyway). I've already re-adjusted all your post counts to not show a drop in the posts you made that were deleted.
So, once again I apologize if any of you see anything life changing (for the worse). These things happen...it's the Internet! But we're going to make precautions to insure these things don't happen again!

I would like to add that the new website update and forum revisions will be coming soon (by the 16th of January). So this means you may see some downtime from the website or these forums. Be sure to check back later that day, as the newly forged PTS should be online and ready to be experienced!
