After a few non stop conversations with fellow Co-Director Walter Banasiak about his 007 education, and the fact that I was one of the thousands who rushed out to see Quantum of Solace last weekend, this post was inevitable! So let's have it, which was the best bond adventure!? If you pick other, let us know which flick you have in mind that has been excluded from the main poll!

You beat me to this topic pal.
Well I'm going to hold off on selecting a favorite Bond until I see them all. I've currently only seen 7 of them. My favorite so far is Diamonds Are Forever. Sean Connery=Amazing! This is followed moderately closely by A View To A Kill. The climax and storyline were great. Roger Moore...not so much. But the movie as a whole was a good one and a young Christopher Walken makes a supurb villian. I'll report back as I absorb more Bond information.
I will find THE BOND THAT BONDS US ALL!!!!

Though I admit I haven't seen all the films or even that last two, I'm confident in (unlike my spelling) as of now which is the best Bound film. Tomorrow Never Dies. Though it is not Connery, you get the second best. You take a villain with the evilest plan in the world, broadcasting rights in China (you bastard), throw in some nice action, and alot of other things and you get something like comes close to Noir. I'd love to see the new ones though I hear the same thing about both, "There not bad. There good. Not great. But not bad. Good"

Also Walter 2 things. One that was kind of a cheesey line even for the power trio "Jackpot Vegas" and 2, we might be here a few years for you too see all of the. Are you even going to count the original Casino Royale?

For the sake of time, you probably shouldn't include the old school (1940s?) Casino Royale. They had absolutely no clue what they were doing with James Bond in that film...
Oh, and yeah...I was watching TMND on Sci-Fi the other day. I love the villain, Elliot Carter, he was too smooth. That's another film where I think critics were on some bad Mary Jane reviewing that film. TMND is easily like my second or third favorite Bond film!

Yeah I was resarching the original Casino Royale a few weeks ago. And no I'm not counting it. 1960's by the way Harry. All it is, is a satire of the spy films of the 60's that legally gained the right to use the name James Bond. But there's definiitely nothing Bond about it.
The really interesting thing that I found out was that the guy who played James Bond in that satire was the front runner ahead of Connery for a while as Dr. No's first Bond.
And I've seen 14 Bond films already. I'm on currently about to watch The Spy Who Loved Me. I'm guessing I'll be done by the end of January. I'm actually really excited to see Never Say Never Again.

So here's an update on my Bond progress... I've finished watching all the Connery and Moore ones, along with Lazenbey's O.H.M.S.S. and one Timothy Dalton film. Diamonds still atop my Bond throne. That leaves...7 to go...oh snaps 007!!! By the way Q's the man.

So it has been a LONG journey for me and Commander Bond...James Bond. Now since the current Bond extraviganza, Quantum of Solace, is in movie limbo (between theaters and DVD) I've yet to see it having just finished Casino Royale last Saturday night. And it looks like it'll be a while before I actually see it so 22 out of 23 isn't bad. After watching this iconic series and after many hours (ok maybe minutes, but many none the less) of going back and forth deciding what my favorite Bond adventure is, I've finally come to a conclusion. However I'm going to count down my 5 favorites starting with number 5. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. Number 5: The World Is Not Enough 3/4 and 4/5 stars Great Brosnan flick. Great villian. Great story. Number 4: Dr. No 3/4 and 4/5 stars The original James Bond feature film with the best actor playing James Bond in the series second to none. Number 3: Diamonds Are Forever 3/4 and 4/5 stars My personal favorite until the below beat it out. Great story with a very smart plot. Number 2: GoldenEye 3.5/4 and 4/5 stars Brosnan is the man in his debut only slightly being edged out by Connery. Awesome back story, great direction with great characters. Number 1: Casino Royale 4/4 and 5/5 I never thought this would be my number 1, but Daniel Craig, despite not looking the part, delivers big time with Casino Royale. Intense action both physical and mental. There isn't one boring part in this film. So there you have it. After about 3 months of watching Bonds, my top 5 have been chosen. If anything changes with my favs when I see Quantum of Solace I'll post here. Again, if you're a Bond fan let me know what you think of my list. And post your own top five.

Oh, and congrats on watching all the James Bonds! I'm sure it was a mystical journey for you!
I think my personal 5 would be:
1. Goldeneye 2. Goldfinger 3. Tomorrow Never Dies 4. Casino Royale 5. Dr. No
I really should watch From Russia With Love again though. It's been a long time since I've seen it (I think I was like 8 or 9...geez), and I know that's not a personal favorite of yours. But I can't remember if I liked it or not, and that's considered one of the besties. So, it deserves a re-watch one of these days.
Congrats!
