Way too hard to determine. I love a lot of bands people don't care for, and it's really hard to choose a favorite.
Most influential is an interesting debate, but it always begins and ends with the Beatles.

Like cledro and senko, I'll definitely fit myself into the category of being an old school rock lover. But of course, anybody who knows me well, knows of my infatuation with all things X Japan. As they're pretty much the greatest group of beings to ever pick up musical instruments. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure that the greatest events in music go like this:
3. Musical instruments were invented 2. The members of X Japan learned how to play these instruments. 1. X Japan banded together, creating the awesome tour de force that is J-Metal.
The end.

So I'm not sure why I'm not sleeping, but I figured I'd post something. I've already read your news and listened to your podcasts. Well, in my self-destructive, fluffy, AND quadrilateral opinion, the best band to EVER play is the Eagles. Listening to their music is what pumps the blood through my veins...none of this ventricle/atrium stuff. Don Henly is one of the most talented singers/songwriters/musicians alive. Glenn Frey is his perfect complement. Timothy Schmit has an incredible voice. Joe Walsh plays guitar like nobody's business. I have found my soulmate in many of their songs. Seriously, just sit down and read their lyrics. I think they speak to hollow loneliness, wild adventures, and resulting wisdom.

Hotel California, not just the song, but the whole album was a very well done production. They are definitely a pivotal piece in the history of classic hard rock. They also did some memorable live performances: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ea0CDieb4yMGreat live performance of Hotel Cali! Good call mslottielenya!

Ahaha wonderful answer Harry.
I wont answer this question though. If you know me you already know which band ::I:: think is the best to ever play. And a lot of people wont agree with me but I don't care cause I agree with me =]

Sweetheart they won't agree with you because it is not about the most generic band but the greatest. I can see how you got confused. Both words start with G.

Hey now. That was a little unnecessary.
You secretly think they're the greatest band ever too, just admit it!

Hmmmm well I'm pretty sure everyone knows who I think is the greatest but, the only thing you band and mine share is the letter "I" in their name and that they both technically play music. My band is actually great and extremely influential. Your band is.... generic too put it lightly. Yeah X-Japan is pretty sweet too.

You don't even know!!! And you know what, I don't care, not gonna argue really cause I know where I'm coming from yessir. So it's okay. Cause their music makes me happy. And that's the important thing!!
Oh and you're kind of a jerk.
