So lately, I have gotten my hands on the Noir soundtrack - props to The Truth - and I have to say, it is pretty damn good, especially tracks ten and twelve (both of which are played during the fight scenes - the first between Harry's character and The Truth - the second between Harry and Walter ). Does anyone else have any opinions about the Noir soundtrack. What were the inspirations behind said soundtrack? As a musician myself, I know how much of a pain in the ass it can be to write music, especially music relating to a scene or an idea. So, props to whomever created the music.

Miles I love you and I really appreciate you joining in on the fourms but, either put this on the music section or in the Noir section. I believe there is this topic already in the Noir check it out.

Yeah, its no biggie, I went ahead and moved it on over to the music section of the forums (since there's a poll version in the NOIR thread).
As for the comments on the NOIR soundtrack...thanks haha! I believe the tracks you are referring to are "And So it Shall Be" and "When We Meet". The inspiration behind that music was purely experimental. It was the first time I had such powerful editing software for sound, and the tools to hook up live instrumentation. I knew a couple of the sounds that I wanted to achieve like the James Bond-esque Hellion Rising, or the hip-hop/symphonic structure for When We Meet, but everything else was eventually just crafted to the feel of the movie in that particular scene. That's one of the constraints you get when writing music for film, rather then as a standalone product. With the soundtrack work, your contained to writing for whatever is going on in the particular sequence, as opposed to just cutting loose and going off pure inspiration.
