I think nolan stole the script for the dark knight from noir. i recognized some key similaries. come on, heath ledger as joker, harry allan locke as hunter vegas. SPITTING IMAGE, right? dynamic soundtracks, pulsating fight scenes, i think someone needs to tell nolan to do his own movie instead of stealing material.

LOL! Clay baby! Welcome to the forums brotha!
Also...you were spot on with your comment on my Facebook page. The movie was unbelievable! I completely forgot throughout the whole film that Heath was even dead...he was so talented in that film.
I can't wait to see it again!

I'll be honest, I definitely did not give the movie a fair break, I may look into it later since I've been hearing some good things about it! I'd definitely give it a try though!

Ledger was amazing and I couldn't see anyone else pulling off that type of Joker. It was the most accurate portrayal of the way The Joker is in the comics and I also noticed some comparisons to the Batman The Animated Series version of The Joker voiced by Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker).
Bale was amazing as usual. The duality(ha! duality.) of Batman and Bruce Wayne are best played as two different characters. Bale does that successfully and even better this time around.
Gary Oldman is flawless as Gordon. I liked how his role was increased and how he was actively involved in capturing The Joker instead of Batman just "taking care" of it.
Now the performance that will definitely be overlooked due to Heath's death is Aaron Eackart's Harvey Dent. In my opinion, he stole the show away from Bale in a sense. I could go on about Dent's character, but you'd be reading this utill the next movie debuts.
Loved the film, hope Nolan returns for the 3rd, and if he doesn't it's going to suck.
Oh and Maggie Gyllenhall's face melting makes me sick.

i believe the secret of the pencil trick is that they actually killed the stunt man. they just shoved the pencil right thru his eye ball. thats why this movie needed such a big budget and its why it received the oscar for greatest movie ever. they actually killed a guy for the scene. was it overkill? yes. was it worth it? absolutely.

It was great, hardly any complaints, but I think Nolan could've disposed of Two Face more honorably.
Come on, man, that was pathetic.

Yeah, falling ou a window is a step down on the epic scale for this move. He could have at least fallen on a pointy stick or Gary Coleman.

I just watched it again the day it came out blu-ray. Once again, I was blown away by the actors. Once again, I was blown away by the harmoniously deranged relationship between Batman and Joker. Once again, I was blown away by the sacrifice of that stunt man who knew the success of the pencil trick was worth more than his life.
Phenomenal time and again.
P.S. Speaking of the flawless Gary Oldman, has anyone seen Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead? One of my favorites!
