If you haven't seen this anime I would definatly give it a try. It is my second favorite anime behind Bebop.Though I warn this is not for everyone as the style is a bit different and the story is very hard to follow at first. But if you like trippy, weird, WTF stuff this is definatly a way to go. Hs anyone heard or seen it?

Sad..... kind of. Its kind of like the joker being funny in the dark Knight. Its funny but kind of sick and twisted at the same time..... Love both of em.

Ooooooh.... the Joker! He's so sardonically witty. This is definitely something about which I need to find out more!

It's weird. And wtf. But I'm not done! I'm on episode 4. In actuality I'm supposed to be studying superduper hardcore. I'm taking a break, okay?? It reminds me of Elfen Lied. Kinda. Sorta. Not really though. Only a little bit? Sure. Have you seen that one? It's really interesting/good and uhh....weird. But so very awesome! In my opinion anyway.

Wow....someone actually started to watch it....(thanks) What do you think of it though besides WTF? No I haven't seen it but I think its worth the look. Keep an eye on Rena If you need more reason to watch this or the season after, Delay "As the result of a murder case in September 2007 in Japan involving the murder of a police chief by his sixteen-year-old daughter with a hatchet, as well as the Japanese media relating the case to anime such as Higurashi, the latest episode screenings of both Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai and another anime, School Days, were canceled by a number of Japanese TV stations; however, AT-X, TV Saitama and Sun TV announced that they would be airing the episodes as planned. Later, TV Saitama announced that they had ceased broadcasting of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai from episode thirteen onwards.[36] Additionally, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai had its opening altered when it re-aired. Originally, a bloody bill hook cleaver (as used by Rena) was shown halfway through (at timestamp 0:55) the opening; it was replaced with an image of a van from the series' fictional junk yard." Thanks to our friend Wikipedia!

Well at this point, I'm still really really confused. Cause after like..the 4th episode it seems like it's done. But it's not! And they go back in time. I dunno, I read somewhere that this show works in arcs, like by every 4 episodes or something. Is that right? That first they have a question arc and then an answer arc?? If that's the case, I'm on the first answer arc. But other than being confused, I do like it. I want to know what's the deal with these girls! How many episodes/seasons are there?
And Elfen Lied is definitely worth a look. It's not long at all, only like 11 episodes I think. And it's also trippy and weird. It's in my top three for anime anyway =]
They ::would:: blame a TV show for murders. It's the same how they blame video games for violence. Madness.

Your state of confusion will last you awhile. A good part into the season until you get the hang of how the show goes. Yes your correct in that the show takes place in question arcs and answer arcs. But I believe that they do 4 question arcs then 3 answer arcs though I might be wrong. Its been over a year since I watched that..... I want too see it now. I think there is like 32 episodes or something close cause there are both question and answer arcs. Its well worth it in my opinion. As for your series, when I find them and the time I'll see what I can watch. Sounds fun. Take care and enjoy. Isn't Rena just the cutest with her little Meat cleaver?

Ok so I started watching Elfen Lied..... yeah its messed up.....in a goo d way. I won't talk about it here since this is for When They Cry but, go watch both.
Rean is my favorite character on that show and not just because she has a meatcleaver. She is so adorable, th meatcleaver putys her over the top.

Messed up shows rock!
Soooo where exactly do you go to watch shows? Cause I have a site I use but When They Cry isn't on it. I've been using youtube so far but there were like...two instances where I thought they had gotten rid of them because of copyright purposes or whatever. Yeah, way to be reliable youtube...so let me know! I'd hate to be on the second to last episode when I suddenly can't watch anymore. Although I guess even if I do watch it all the way through I'll still be unsure of what happened. But still!

www.crunchyroll.com/login?next= is a pretty good site that I have used in the past for a few things. Though it seems they have been taking down a few things, lately I've been watching things ( like Elf Lied) at www.phoanime.com/ It so far has been really good too me. Doesn't have a huge selection but I like it. I actually found this site by reading post on crunch roll. People were wondering where they could watch the anime since it was taken down from C.R. people were just advertising their sites so you might actually find more. .... I love this show

Hatchet girl!
Sooo I just finished watching this thing. Wow was it a trip!! lol My favorite character in this show is probably the cicada. Cause when it cries, watch out! It's like a warning bell. I'm kidding, actually I think Rika might be my favorite. She was so cute and adorable and somehow was able to predict the future. Or maybe I liked Shion more. Yeah she was kind of psychotic but she never bullsh!tted anything and didn't seem like she had a hidden agenda. So in a sense she was the most real out of all of them. Well except for Keichi, he was just out of the loop and confused the entire time. Like me! It made it easy to relate to him. So maybe he's my favorite...? Haha okay I don't have a favorite. But anyway! This show is pretty good and trippy and uh...interesting. None of it makes sense until like the middle to the end of the series and even then you might still be confused. Like me. But it's fun none-the-less lol

I'm really glad you liked it. Now hopefully you understand a little more of what you need to do if you get my drift I actually really really like the opening theme song in this series. At first I didn't like it but it grew on to me. I just started to watch the 2nd season and it looks trippy so yeah!
